Kinds of Workshop
Yantra Mandala Painting
Usually held in the Months of January and February this workshop is conducted by Dutch Artist Pieter Weltevrede. It helps one connect with one's numbers through sacred geometry and patterns. It is based on the mandala theory created by Harish Johari.
Earth Building Technology
Conducted each year by Hunnarshala foundation and Studio Dot from Bhuj, this technology is truly the way forward. The hours are filled with discussions about sustainability and the environment.
Raku firing is a process in which work is removed from the kiln at bright red heat and subjected to post-firing reduction (or smoking) by being placed in containers or combustible materials, which blackens raw clay and causes crazing in the glaze surface.Learn this method with us over endless cups of tea and the light of Orange and yellow flames.
This workshop is usually conducted by artists Ganga Kadakia and Dilip Chobisa. Their love for multimedia is the inspiration behind this event. U can convert and antique or personal possession into a piece of art in this master class.
This is a collaborative workshop with Clay Club members from Ahmedabad. The entire village transcends into a playground with participants collecting flowers for impressions and using tree trunks for textures. A class not to be missed !!
Arial photography or arial motion pictures has been cultivated and developed by team Quidich innovation labs. They teach students how to make drones and also how to use them fly them and then finally process all the data and edit it.They have worked with Nat geo and Discovery channels.
Anupama Pant has been associated with the art village since its inception. She is a trained Potter and Ceramist settled in Pune. Her precision and technique with clay is a gift and she can turn a layman into an artist.
