The Art Village Karjat (AVK) is a physical space representing varied disciplines of Art. Practising artists stemming from diverse thought processes use this place as a platform to share their experiences. AVK is an artist collaborative and experimental project. In today's modem age of technology we believe that collaborations are the future, and artists can achieve unimaginable potential through meaningful interactions and working together as a community.
AVK has three pillars on which all the programs are based - Art, Architecture and Nature. The methods of interacting are immersive, inquiry based and hands-on. The architecture plays a vital role in all these aspects, the space lending itself beautifully to all forms of visual and performative art.
